Items we are unable to accept

In a continual effort to minimize costs there are a few items we do not accept for reasons such as safety, lack of market interest, and cost of disposal.


We are unable to accept the following:

  • Clothes
  • Books
  • Pianos
  • Mattresses, waterbeds, or box springs
  • Used Bedding, Towels 
  • Used Ceiling Fans
  • Used sofas, loveseats, chairs, and recliners.
  • Used upholstered furniture
  • Used entertainment centers
  • Used over the toilet cabinets 
  • Used/Partial Containers/Bags of paint, chemicals, pesticides or cleaners
  • Unusable dimensional lumber with rot, pests, scraps, nails/screws, or are less then 2’
  • Desks or other office furniture
  • Non-functioning, incomplete, or appliances 8 years or older
  • Unframed mirrors/glass and sheet mirror
  • Fluorescent light bulbs, tubes and incandescent light bulbs (new items may be taken at our discretion)
  • Used flat slab doors, flimsy closet doors, closet doors without tracks
  • Used, old faux bathroom vanity, and cultured marble countertops
  • Exercise equipment
  • Medical Equipment
  • Used Track Lighting
  • Cubicles/ Office partitions
  • Single Pane Windows
  • Sheet goods less than 1/2 of the sheet
  • Clay roofing tiles
  • Used or unpackaged insulation
  • Used press board cabinets.
  • Kids toys & baby items including but not limited to cribs, car seats, playpens
  • Used toilets with usage over 1.6 gallons per minute.
  • Used motor oil, tires, and automotive parts
  • Electronics: TV, VCR, Stereos, Phones, Batteries, etc
  • Any dirty or soiled items. (Incudes visible dust layer) 
  • Any Materials that may contain Asbestos or Lead

Please Note: Unfortunately our dumpster is not for public use. Please see our list of recycling resources below. We can dispose of non-hazardous goods & materials – for a fee – if they are declined as a donation. Please ask Management for more information.
We accept donations of home improvement materials and home goods that:
  • Are new or gently used
  • Are free of breakage or excessive wear
  • Have all their parts, and are in working order
  • Can be resold
  • Are cleaned and ready for their next owner
