Volunteer

Put your talents to work at the Riverside ReStore.
Volunteering is a rewarding way to learn new skills, make a difference, and meet new people. Your commitment to the Riverside ReStore is an investment in the success of Habitat for Humanity Riverside’s homeownership mission. We strive to keep operating costs as low as possible to maximize the amount of money that goes to benefit our local community. Only with the help of our volunteer team members are we able to keep up with the full scope of our growing ReStore.

Who volunteers at the Riverside ReStore?
Our volunteers typically fall into these categories:
  • On-Going Volunteers- those who have spare time and want to volunteer to meet people, gain new skills, gain work experience, and give back to the community.
  • Habitat Family Volunteers- families preforming sweat equity hours as part of their commitment to owning a "Habitat Home".
  • Community Service Volunteers- those who have been assigned community service hours by an authorized agency, like Community Connect. The agency must submit their paperwork to the Riverside ReStore (hand delivered by client is acceptable). Please bring any paperwork your assigning agency gave you detailing your volunteer service to your volunteer orientation.
  • Student Volunteers (must be 16 years +) – must be working through a program associated with a school, class, club, or church, with assigned community service hours. Please bring any paperwork from your assigning agency detailing your community service to your volunteer orientation. Note: Student Volunteers under the age of 18 must have their legal guardian fill out and sign their paperwork.
Riverside ReStore volunteers need to be self-motivated and able to work independently. They must be friendly, helpful, and flexible.
