The Habitat for Humanity Riverside ReStore is a non-profit, retail outlet committed to the success of the homeownership mission of Habitat for Humanity Riverside by providing on-going financial support through the sale of donated new and reusable home improvement products.
The Riverside ReStore opened its doors in 1998. We operate as a non-profit home improvement outlet which sells donated products and goods to support the home ownership mission of Habitat for Humanity, Riverside. We are a direct fundraising source for the affiliate (HFHR). Every dollar spent in the Riverside ReStore directly affects low-income families in the program.
The Riverside ReStore serves as an environmentally friendly resource to ‘do-it-yourselfers, contractors, business and industry who are looking to find real value and divert usable goods and products from the waste stream. In doing so, as an individual, a community and as a country we reduce our collective carbon footprint on the planet.
The Riverside ReStore practices the environmental standards of Redcue, Reuse and Recycle with a focus on Reuse. Reusing ‘anything’ is the preferred method of waste management.
The Riverside ReStore accepts donations of home improvement material, appliances and furniture. These items are reusable products and materials that are perfectly good and brand new in most cases. For more details about what we accept please see Products we accept.
The Riverside Restore is one of hundred of ReStores throughout the United States, Canada and New Zealand. Collectively we work diligently in support of our local affiliates.
The Riverside ReStore works hand-in-hand with other Southern California ReStores. Each store works in support of their local affiliate who, in turn, works to eliminate substandard housing for low-income families.
