Give back to the city that gave you an education.

Graduation season is upon us, a huge transition period where young adults transition from being students, to professionals. The Riverside ReStore wants to congratulate our local graduates for their educational accomplishments! Obtaining a college degree is not an easy task; it takes a lot of diligence, concentration, patience, and hard work. We are proud of the young professionals our city produces.
For many students, the graduating transition period could mean moving to different cities and finding a community to call their own. We want to encourage students to give back to their local community one more time before moving on to the next chapter in their lives. There are a lot of ways to give back locally, such as volunteering at a local non-profit (such as Habitat for Humanity Riverside), helping to organize end of the year school events, and donating.
The Riverside ReStore invites transitioning college students to do some spring cleaning and donate their usable home goods and furniture to the Riverside ReStore. This gives students the opportunity to clear out their dorms, give back to the local community, make a tax-deductible donation, and extend the life of usable home improvement products while reducing their carbon footprint and preventing goods from ending up in area landfills.
Donation Drop offs are accepted at the Riverside ReStore between 10am and 5pm, Monday through Saturday. Individuals with large, quality donations are encouraged to take advantage of our free donation pick up service. (Students living in dorms and apartments please note that items need to be staged at ground level and ready for pickup to take advantage of this free service.)
Give back to the city that gave you an education. Make a difference in your college community, today!

Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to call home. We know decent, affordable housing can create transformational change for individuals, families and communities. But in our own backyards here in the U.S., decent and affordable housing is unreachable for far too many families. In April, Habitat is working to spread the word about decent and affordable shelter and what we are doing at the local level to help families gain strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.
This month, sharing your support of Habitat for Humanity Riverside will have greater impact because of brand awareness movement being sponsored at the national level. It is our goal to increase community awareness both at home and throughout the nation.
You can join the movement by sharing our social media posts using the hashtag #HomeIsTheKey. Also, you can go shopping at your neighborhood ReStore and when you’re there purchase a key adding a tax deductible donation to your purchase (donate online Here ). Through these actions you will be helping to unlock the future of families in your community and around the world. You will be part of our efforts to help families eliminate the barriers they face to opportunity, success, stability and health by assuring everyone has a decent place to call home.
You can join the effort and be part of a key moment in a family’s future one of three ways.
